The system's three filters--an electrostatic filter, an eight-bag inner filter, and a diffuser filter--combine to remove 99 percent of all particles 5 microns in size and 85 percent of particles 1 micron in size. The end result is a shop that's a lot healthier to breathe in, which lets you worry about more important things, such as the woodworking project at hand. An adjustable exhaust directs the air where you want it for optimal circulation, and the air diffuser helps to disperse outgoing air into a broader pattern. And even when set on high, the quiet AFS-2000 is about as noisy as a standard floor fan blowing through a living room.

With the included remote control, you can turn the AFS-2000 on or off, or switch from low to medium to high, from anywhere in your shop--perfect if it's installed in an out-of-reach area of the ceiling. It also has a built-in timer with settings of two, four, and eight hours, and the system automatically shuts off at the end of the time setting.
