Includes Nova? Midi Chuck - 709519Whether you're new to turning or an old hand at pens, this chuck will give you the capability to add bowls, finials and a variety of vessels to your repertoire.
We like this one by Jet because it's supremely lightweight, and that's good for your lathe's motor, but it's also tough as nails. It expands and contracts smoothly with lever action, expanding to grip the inside diameter of the bottom of a bowl you're gouging or contracting to clamp securely around a dowel threaded through the spindle and destined to be a Shaker-type peg.
The 2-inch jaws are perfect for smaller projects, including bowls, vases, small plates, finials, pegs and other work done on a mini- or midi-lathe. --Kris Jensen-Van Heste
