Stable enough for serious woodworkers yet compact enough to fit in small shops, JET?s Supersaw is laden with user-friendly features. The Supersaw is equipped with JET?s Micro-Glide fence for superb accuracy and reliability. The fence offers micro adjustments and a magnified cursor for easy, pinpoint adjustments-- even for those of us with shaky hands. And, the Micro-Glide is equipped with four T-slots to accommodate a wide variety of jig types.The motor is located inboard, which means a more compact design and a saw that fits flush against a wall when not in use. A fully-enclosed cabinet keeps the 1-3/4-horsepower fan cooled (TEFC) motor clean for years of reliable use. The motor spins the blade at up to 3,450 rpm for smooth cuts through just about any material. And, a wider stance and greater weight mean far more stability, letting this baby cut smoothly at full tilt without a hesitation.
The Supersaw's heavy cast-iron table snuffs out vibration for ultra-smooth cutting operations. The table measures 21-1/4 by 27 inches to offer plenty of room for larger stock. Equipped with precision-ground, cast iron wings (rather than stamped steel), this saw offers a smoother, longer-lasting work surface and twice as much iron work surface (over 1,100 square inches) as any table in its class.
More great features include a left-tilting blade helps make clean miter cuts without tearing out the topside of the workpiece; an exclusive moveable power switch that positions anywhere along the front rail for easy access from wherever you need to stand (the switch also is illuminated when powered for a quick visual reference); and an improved clear blade guard with independently moving sides for greater safety. Customer Review: Excellent machine for the money.

This saw is an excellent value when compared to the DeWalt 746. I was all but convinced that I had to have the big yellow machine until I put my hands on the two. There is a remarkable difference when you are up close to both of these saws. The JET is much more substantial than the DeWalt. It just feels like you're setting in a 1 ton pickup as opposed to a Nissan frontier. The problems other reviewers found with the fence are, in my opinion, kind of whiny. The fence is of good quality and it squared up true right off and needed no further adjustment. I can see where the micro-adjust feature is a complaint, but it is not essential to the operation of the fence. The indicator magnification bubble on the fence is just fine. It has two crosshairs, when you line them up you know that the indicator dead on the mark. If others are having problems with this they should see a doctor. The fit and finish of this saw is at least on par with the DeWalt. The saw was relatively simple to assemble and the instructions were very good. I have no complaints with this saw and fully expect to get many years of enjoyment out of it.
