While this JET saw beats its closest competitor on price, it also offers some advantages in design and construction. A quick-connect electrical plug is right on the saw, so you can change blades without having to search out the wall socket every time. The saw's stand is made of a heavy-gauge metal, and features a hinged-motor cover and a 4-inch dust port for easy connection to a dust-collection system. This model also includes an XACTA router lift so your table saw can double as a fully functional router table. Tilting the blade away from the fence allows you to work without a sacrificial fence and reduces the risk of the piece binding under the blade. But this saw's most impressive feature is the smooth action of the blade's height-adjustment mechanism.
