The Precision of an Exclusive XACTA Fence II
This saw makes uses of Jet's proprietary commercial XACTA Fence II system to firmly stabilize stock to the fence, along with a special T-square design to achieve precision with each cut. With its superior technology, this system can accomplish a variety of ripping, miter-jointing, and crosscutting operations.

Also designed with safety in mind, the saw includes a quick-release riving knife, which greatly reduces binding and kickback risks, and a rail-mounted magnetic switch for enhanced overload protection.

Deluxe Miter Gauge Adds to Crosscutting Capacity
Developed with a deluxe miter gauge, the Jet 708678PK boasts a crosscutting capacity up to 21 inches and adjustable positive stops for accurate miter production. The miter gauge's large soft-grip handles fit comfortably in your hand, so ultra-precise adjustments can be made with ease. For added ergonomics, the saw's handwheels are chrome-plated, making arbor and trunnion movement easy and smooth.

If rapid blade changes are a priority, you'll be glad to note the saw includes a push-button arbor lock, so complex woodworking projects are no sweat. For large-scale jobs, rugged 11-inch cast-iron extension wings are built in on both sides, meaning extra work-piece support is there when you need it. Plus, the left tilt, heavy-duty trunnion has a wide stance and operates on a smooth track for added stability.

Downdraft Table for Dust Cleanup and Stability
The included downdraft-style table means cleanup is achieved while you work. The four-inch dust port molded on the table's underside connects to standard dust collection systems, effectively vacuuming particles and chips through the holed stabilizing board during use. And the saw's shrouded blade further supplements the dust collection by keeping much of the dust from becoming airborne.

The table measures 36 x 30 inches (LxW) and is ruggedly framed in welded steel, providing a steady work surface and additional space for larger projects. Ten no-slip rubber grommets can be attached to the stabilizing board to hold the work piece securely in place, allowing you to position your work piece according to your preference and to work without the interference of unwanted movement.
